Really excited to see Remacs exploring bindgen as an option! https://github.com/Wilfred/remacs/pull/486/ The C parts of Emacs use a ton of C features, so it's shaking out several bugs in bindgen itself.

use bindgen to generate most of remacs-sys at build-time by db48x · Pull Request #486 · remacs/remacs

This saves us most of the work of finding the declarations of C types and functions and converting them into Rust. As the C side of Remacs shrinks, the generated bindings will shrink.
