Difftastic already supported more than 20 languages, but I've been impressed at how many requests / patches I've received for additional languages!
I've added a new section in the manual to make adding new languages easier:
Phabricator does a great job displaying diffs. It has subword highlighting and puts the previous section (based on indentation) in the header, shown as `namespace llvm {`.
The moved line highlighting is a really nice touch too.

I'm all in favour of simple websites without unnecessary JS, but I find a large comment section skews my sense of article length.
If I'm reading a medium length post, the scrollbar can be very misleading if there are many comments.
