Python's GIL is well known, but many languages have limitations on multithreading (e.g. JS, Ocaml).
Perhaps this is a consequence of C as a popular implementation language? A GIL could be less common when Rust is the implementation language.
RFC 9116 was published this year, which promotes having /.well-known/security.txt as a standard file woth contact information for security issues.
It also notes that having this file does not mean you're running a CTF exercise :)
Cargo.lock is great for having a known-good set of library versions for your project. I regret not pinning the rust version earlier though.
I didn't even know the minimum rust version until I was enforcing it in CI!
