Today I learnt that Racket *intentionally* doesn't have a traditional REPL workflow. The authors were concerned about students not understanding the state between the current session and the code on disk. Today I learnt that the original name for DOS was QDOS, for "Quick and Dirty Operating System"! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOS#QDOS (Seems rather unfortunate that they dropped the Q.)
