My shiny new Arch install uses grub2, so you don't need a separate /boot partition! It can read the kernel straight out of an LVM partition.
grub2 is a little bit bigger though, so I had to repartition give it 2MiB at the beginning of the disk. Everything gets bigger over time.

It checks out git repositories of dependencies, so it's always easy to contribute changes upstream! This has been a definite point of friction in my Emacs workflow.
Coming from Twitter, a major difference with the Tooterati¹ is that your server matters. You're more easily discovered by users on the same instance.
It's an interesting, different group dynamic. There's more scope for self-organisation and group identities.
¹ This should totally be a word. People use Twitterati with a straight face.
