rustc is the only self-hosted compiler I've seen that uses external packages in the target language. Are there others?

When someone says "you should use the cloud", I'm never sure if they mean:
1: use a virtual server rather than running your own hardware, or
2: use hosted services rather than running your own e.g. database
2 is often surprisingly expensive IME.
@elbosso Of course you can weigh in! :) I've used reveal.js for several presentations in the past, and I liked it.
The presentations looked great, especially with syntax highlighting.
I did find myself futzing with written HTML more than I wanted though (e.g. wanting an image caption in a specific place). It's also a little harder to share than a hosted service, especially if you want reader comments.
Definitely a great option in many cases still.
GitHub READMEs work exceptionally well for projects which only need a single page of docs.
Transitioning to a hosted, multiple page documentation structure is hard though. I've dabbled with a few tools but not found a clear favourite yet.
