Interestingly, I've reached a point where I get as many thoughtful responses to my content on Mastodon as I do on Twitter.
I agree it's very hard to make decentralised systems work, but my experience has been pretty positive.

I travelled recently with six electronic devices, and every single one used USB-C for charging. It was wonderful, and not an experience I've had before.
I'm experimenting with jj this weekend. It seems pretty nice so far, but the mental model is pretty different from git.
For example, there's no `checkout` command. You do `jj new ABC` to switch to a commit, which creates a new empty commit on top of ABC.
