LLMs are great at style transfer, and this works surprisingly well for syntactic transformations too. I rewrote a small website's EJS templates to 1500 LOC of TSX with a oneshot in Claude. It took ~12 minutes, but it just worked. (TSX seems nicer than EJS for static analysis.)

The total amount of data from the first spacecraft to perform a Mars flyby was ~600KiB: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariner_4#Results That's tiny, but for interplanetary data transfer in the 1960s it's really impressive.

I've realised that I don't have a good sense of how much a website costs. Presumably it has gone down significantly over time? If you need bespoke customisations there's labour costs, but a basic VPS can do a lot. CPUs and data transfer are both cheap.
