Pip is great, but sometimes I wonder if one of the original motivations was simply that it's less to type than the 12 chars of easy_install.

I'd much rather have a function with only a return type instead of a function with only parameter types. It's often quick to add too.
For hobby projects, I really like software where I can do small features or tweaks. Sometimes I don't have time for anything more substantial.
