I really admire projects that put their goal in their name. For example, lastpass. It's a great way of staying focused. I once built a project called "one click deploys" to automate a manual deployment. The name stopped us adding unnecessary clickthroughts on big systems.

One advantage I've come to appreciate about Dash/Zeal docsets: it's really nice having focused search. The text search is constrained to the languages I care about enough to download the docset, substantially increasing the relevance. In Google I'd need to specify the language.

I'm trying to decide the best voice for PL documentation. Passive: "`let` can be used with destructuring." Reader focused: "You can use `let` with destructuring." Describing the PL: "FooLang supports destructuring with `let`." Anyone have opinions or best practices?

USB-A connectors seem absolutely massive when the majority of my connectors are USB-C. With hindsight, maybe the original USB standard could have been smaller. USB 1 came out in 1996, way before the modern smartphone, so I assume it was more focused on desktop devices.
