Prefix keys in elisp are funky. Typing C-x maps to the sym Control-X-prefix and Emacs looks up the *function* cell!

Shower thought: plurals are basically Hungarian notation, but with a suffix rather than a prefix.
Wow, gcc's codebase is amazingly lispy in places: prefix syntax with parentheses, foo_p for boolean functions.
