I don't use subagents much: I usually want to discuss and iterate on the subtask. Subagents are typically unattended.
I find myself writing md files for a new session to read. Are there any harnesses that treat forking as a first class feature?

It's really satisfying fixing crashes in rust-analyzer. You can start from a panic message and dig until you've got a tiny Rust program that triggers the problem.
(It's usually an issue with incomplete source files breaking invariants.)

LLVM's lit tool for testing files is the most successful testing DSL I've ever seen. It's used a decent number of projects outside of LLVM.
By contrast I don't see many folks using e.g. Cucumber these days.
