I'm developing a dislike for PID files. There are too many failure cases. Supervisord, runit and others have more robust solutions.

Tests returning values and composing is a really interesting model. It establishes structure and shows which test failure is the most 'fundamental'.
I'm never sure what to name my remotes in git. I tend to use 'mine' so I can add other forks later, but sometimes I use 'gh' or the traditional 'origin'.
