One day I am going to reach the height of technological sophistication, and every clock in my house will handle daylight savings automatically. I'm not there yet. I think modern appliances are getting better though. (Does a microwave really need to know the current time?)

I'm delighted that so many people are getting value in difftastic, but there has been a significant increase in new issues recently! Hopefully this is a temporary bump from HN. It's a genuine risk from creating a generic tool: if 1% of devs use it, that's a huge userbase.

Getting basic language infrastructure going is surprisingly labour intensive. I've built a toy language up to hello world -- lexing, parsing, evaluating and minimal REPL. I'm already at over 100 commits and 900LOC of Rust (source: https://github.com/Wilfred/garden/tree/6b0ecf775b45047d927f00e0469e178b72c929f2).
