I used to know people who sold thin client devices rather rather traditional PCs. The thin client model didn't gain much traction.

I find myself just taking photos of documents for submitting forms, rather than scanning.
Scanning still feels more 'official' (a PDF instead of a JPG) but the sheer convenience of using a phone wins every time. I've rarely seen organisations complain about photos.
I periodically see "diffstatic" as a typo of difftastic. I quite like it: makes me think of 'ecstatic' rather than 'fantastic'.
I've eventually configured typos CLI to prevent this spelling on the difftastic repo, but it makes me smile every time.
I find that I'm choosing AI tools based on the quality of the harness rather than the model.
For example, I'm using Claude Code Web because its model of remote VMs is extremely convenient. I'm using Perplexity because it's tuned really well for web searches.
