Playing with VS Code also reminds me how overloaded the tab key can be. It might do indentation, or LSP completion, or snippet completion, or Copilot completion. In Emacs I've configured these operations on separate keys (e.g. yasnippet on SPC) which is less surprising.

Whilst nil and t are rather strange as booleans, they're wonderfully easy to type. I've finally relented and written a yasnippet for Python because True and False are just too many keystrokes.

Every few months I bite the bullet and upgrade all 211 pkgs I've installed from MELPA. After one minor yasnippet change, everything worked!
