What is the lowest resolution image that is still recognisable? I made a space invader craft project at one point and spent a bunch of time wondering if I had enough materials.

I still find it amazing that Google provides _free_, _unlimited_ image storage at a reasonable resolution. It's a really nice service, but I don't understand the economic rationale.

I have a fondness for visible pixelation: pixel art, bitmap fonts, displays with large LEDs. It's a medium that's distinctly technological. I can display high resolution photos or realistic graphics on a modern device, but it's less distinct. The medium doesn't affect the msg.
