I'm not sure PLs should have custom syntax for data types. You quickly run out of paren types before you run out of common types.

I've been working on a search tool for a website with 9K items and a dumb implementation works just fine. I'd normally gravitate to a library or tool like elasticsearch (ES).
Adding custom filters etc is trivial on handrolled code. I wonder what scale requires actual search infra like ES.

Playing with Claude and my new programming language has made me add features that it wants. I think they're reasonable.

tap> is an elegant Clojure debugging feature: it passes the argument to any functions registered with add-tap.
You might set up a custom printer for your data type, or save values for later examination, and you can easily disable the tap too.
